WE RELEASE THE REEF FISH AND KEEP THE PELAGIC FISH.
Come and enjoy fishing with your family or friends!
This outing is best suited to those wishing to discover recreational fishing.
Even if it is possible to catch some fine specimens, fishing the outer reef drop-offs is more fun than trophy hunting.
On Moorea or Tahiti, larger sizes are not as much the norm as they may be on more isolated islands.
For fishing on the reef's outer drop-offs, we troll and, if there is little or no wind, we fish vertically by drifting close to the reef. We use lures, baits and livebait. And if we see tuna hunting offshore, we go for it!
Popping is only possible for people who are used to casting with others on a boat and who bring their own equipment.
Please ensure before booking that you are not prone to seasickness as the outings are offshore and the Pacific Ocean is generally rough and we can get wet.
We have to warn you that fishing is an activity where catches cannot be guaranteed. we will do everything in our power to ensure that this is the case!
We release most of our reef catches to preserve the resources of the small island of Moorea ; but you can still choose a meal!
RENDEZ-VOUS in Vaiare for a 7.00 am departure.
We favour trolling, in search of large pelagic fish (tuna, marlin, mahi-mahi, bonito, etc.), in schools or alone in the ocean. We look for signs of their presence (driftwood, schools of birds, etc.).
